Corkjoint Type 2

Cork granules, firmly bonded by an insoluble synthetic resin and moulded under heat and pressure. It is light, flexible, and acid-resistant, allowing other materials to change in volume, preventing cracks in the concrete.
It can be compressed for short or long periods without losing its properties.

APPLICATIONS:

Recommended mainly for concrete, brick, or block joints that require sealing and filling. This is a natural and highly resilient product, ideal for filling expansion and recovery joints.
It does not expel even when compressed to 50 per cent of its original thickness and recovers up to 96 per cent when the joint shrinks, thus guaranteeing a perfect seal at all times. Recommended for:

• Roads, Bridges, and Traffic Surfaces: Ideal for filling expansion joints in roads and bridge decks subject to heavy traffic.
• External coating: Recommended for filling structural expansion joints and separating joints in brick, block, and concrete constructions.
• Interior joints: Ideal for filling expansion joints in concrete floors and ceilings, as well as in internal masonry and blockwork walls. Other applications include aerodromes, power stations, factories, warehouses, floors, buildings, etc.
